Neck pain is another very common issue faced by many people. We find that neck pain is the result of several factors regarding the body and musculoskeletal system. To begin with, we look at what you do the most of every day to determine if there may be an activity or ergonomic situation that simply needs adjusted to allow your body to work better. We then look at your range of motion as well as for tight and spastic muscles, along with trigger points which may be causing your pain.
Once we complete your exam we will begin treatment to loosen muscles and work to improve range of motion. We will then show you how to treat the condition yourself and gently stretch the muscles until we see you the next time. This self treatment aspect is what helps to cut a lot of time out of your recovery as well as correction of the offending condition (ergonomic set up, poor posture, etc.)
Many times neck pain and headaches run with one another. We will address both of these conditions and many times will be able to provide a significant reduction in both frequency and pain.
