Do you wake up with your headaches?
Are your headaches frequent throughout the week?
Do your shoulders and neck feel stiff during the headache?
Let us help you with Trigger point therapy
Headaches can vary from the common tension headache to a full blown migraine. Many times the muscular system is involved through increased muscular tension and/or trigger points in the neck and base of the skull, and sometimes even in the jaw muscles. Pain in the head, when referred by muscles, generally comes from muscles in the neck and when we examine a person for trigger points and find one – the headache pain can be immediately recreated that a person can recognize as 'their pain'.
We will then look to improve the range of motion of the muscles of and neck through soft tissue work as well as show a person how to self treat their muscle to help with pain when it recurs.
Generally a person will see significant improvements within the first few visits.
